GTA VI Takes Over Game Informer’s Cover

Grand Theft Auto VI is officially taking over the next issue of Game Informer, with Rockstar Games revealing new details about Leonida alongside a collection of never-before-seen screenshots.

The upcoming issue, numbered 382, features GTA VI on its cover with Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Game Informer says its 14-page cover story is based on exclusive conversations with several lead designers at Rockstar Games.

The feature will focus heavily on how Rockstar created Leonida, the game's fictional take on Florida, including the studio's approach to recreating the culture, environments and atmosphere of Miami and the surrounding state.

Among the topics discussed are GTA VI's advanced weather systems, which Rockstar says are designed to simulate Florida's changing weather conditions, as well as the huge variety of wildlife inhabiting Leonida across land, air and sea.

Perhaps the biggest attraction for fans, however, will be the 12 new screenshots accompanying the feature. Game Informer says the images showcase new locations, citizens and other aspects of the world that have not previously been seen.

The magazine's cover also features original Rockstar artwork depicting Jason and Lucia, making the issue particularly interesting for collectors and GTA fans.

The digital edition launches September 29, while physical copies will reach subscribers, bookstores and newsstands in the following weeks.

With GTA VI now approaching its November 19, 2026 release date, the Game Informer feature arrives during an increasingly active period of Rockstar's pre-launch campaign.

After years of waiting for more information about Vice City and Leonida, fans will soon have another detailed look at the world Rockstar has been building — and potentially 12 completely new screenshots to dissect.
